Who has made it to the World Cup finals?

England, Spain, Bosnia, Honduras and Russia are
among the latest nations to qualify automatically
for the 2014 World Cup - but there are still 11
places up for grabs.
Next summer's tournament in Brazil will feature 32
teams, with the draw for eight groups of four to take
place in Bahia on 6 December.
Here BBC Sport takes a look at how things stand across
the six Fifa confederations.
Africa
Definitely there: None.
Still to be decided: The final round of qualification in
Africa sees the 10 group winners from the previous
stage meet in five two-legged play-off meetings, with
the victors qualifying for Brazil 2014.
The first legs saw Algeria beaten 3-2 at Burkina Faso,
Ivory Coast beat Senegal 3-1, Ethiopia lose 2-1 at
home to Nigeria, Tunisia and Cameroon play out a
goalless draw and Ghana thrash Egypt 6-1.
The qualifiers will be decided in November's second
legs.
Asia
Definitely there: Australia, Iran, Japan, South Korea.
Still to be decided: Jordan are a play-off match away
from competing at their first World Cup.
The Middle East nation won the right to a two-legged tie
against Uruguay, the fifth-placed team from South
American qualifying, by beating Uzbekistan in
September.
Europe
Definitely there: Belgium, Germany, Italy,
Netherlands, Switzerland, England, Spain, Russia,
Bosnia-Hercegovina.
Still to be decided: Four teams will progress from the
play-offs.
Bosnia-Hercegovina qualified for their first major
tournament, with a 1-0 win in Lithuania enough to win
Group G on goal difference from Greece.
Russia drew with Azerbaijan, which was enough to see
off Portugal and win Group F, while England topped
Group H with a 2-0 win over Poland.
With the nine group winners having booked their places
in Brazil, the attention now turns to the play-offs.
The eight runners-up facing the play-offs are Croatia,
Sweden, Romania, Iceland, Portugal, Greece, Ukraine
and France.
Four of those sides will be seeded for the two-legged
play-offs, which take place next month. The four
winners will then progress to Brazil.
North & Central America and Caribbean
Definitely there: Costa Rica, United States, Honduras.
Still to be decided: Mexico, who finished fourth in
qualifying, face Oceania winners New Zealand in a two-
legged intercontinental play-off in November.
Honduras took the last of the automatic qualifying
spots after drawing 2-2 with Jamaica.
Mexico , who have qualified for every World Cup since
1982 apart from 1990, were close to missing out on a
play-off place when they lost 2-1 to Costa Rica.
But Panama, who needed to win to leapfrog Mexico in
the six-nation qualifying tournament to reach the play-
offs and retain hopes of a first World Cup appearance,
conceded two goals in stoppage time against the United
States to lose 3-2.
Oceania
Definitely there: None.
Still to be decided: New Zealand easily won the final
group stage to qualify for a play-off match against
Mexico, the fourth-placed side from North & Central
America and the Caribbean.
South America
Definitely there: Argentina, Brazil (hosts), Colombia,
Ecuador and Chile
Still to be decided: Uruguay face Asia's Jordan in a
two-legged play-off to qualify.
Chile beat Ecuador 2-1 in a result which secured
automatic qualification for both teams. Chile finished
third in the nine-nation group, with Ecuador fourth.
Uruguay finished level on points with Ecuador but
finished fifth because of an inferior goal difference.
