Appiah: Battered Egypt remain a danger

The Ghana coach was keen not to assume
qualification to World Cup 2014 is assured, despite
having hammered the Pharoahs 6-1 on Tuesday
Egypt can still ruin Ghana's dreams of World Cup 2014
qualification despite having been swept aside in a 6-1
win, according to Black Stars coach James Kwesi
Appiah.
Star striker Asamoah Gyan scored twice as the hosts
hammered the visitors, with Sulley Muntari and Majeed
Waris also getting their names on the scoresheet on
Tuesday.
Appiah resisted the urge to insinuate that his side had
one foot in the World Cup finals - four years after they
reached the last eight of the 2010 tournament - and
urged his men to put the 6-1 win at the back of their
minds.
"We should not underestimate Egypt and their strength
after this result," Appiah told reporters after the game.
"We should prepare well for the return leg and play like
we didn't win by six goals here in Kumasi."
The second leg is set to be played on November 19 in
Egypt, with the winner over two legs set to be amongst
the final qualifiers for the World Cup next summer.
