Pellegrini: Hart not guaranteed to start for Manchester City against Everton

The England goalkeeper's poor display against
Bayern Munich prompted talk that Costel
Pantilimon could be given a chance, which the
Chilean did not deny
Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini says that Joe
Hart is not guaranteed to keep his place against Everton .
The England No.1's poor performance against Bayern
Munich on Wednesday drew calls for him to be
dropped and, while the Chilean insists that the 26-year-
old has his trust, he is unwilling to rule out fielding
Costel Pantilimon instead.
"I will decide [on Saturday] if he will start," Pellegrini
told reporters on Friday. "I won't tell you now if Joe will
play because the players don't know yet.
"Of course, Joe knows he must improve the way he is
playing.
"Costel Pantilimon is a very good goalkeeper. He has all
the right to play. He's working hard and I'm absolutely
sure if it's [Saturday] or in another game that if
Pantilimon plays he will do very well."
Despite criticism of Hart over recent months, England
boss Roy Hodgson has been categorical in his support
of the former Shrewsbury Town keeper as the Three
Lions' first choice.
