Woolworths Ltd has lodged an application with IP
Australia to register the trademark "Pharmacy-in-
Supermarket," The Australian Financial Review
reports.
According to the newspaper, the move may signal that
the retail giant is still eyeing ways to enter the $16
billion pharmacy market, despite a government policy
has that locked out major retailers since 1990.
A previous application has lapsed.
The AFR reports the trademark extends to six classes
of goods and services, and includes the sale of
pharmaceutical and medical products provided by
pharmacists.
